With a background in journalism and health care, I know how easy it is to get overwhelmed and burned out when under pressure, whether it be trying to perfect your work or meet tight deadlines. Our wellness can get pushed to the background. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Creativity is part of wellness, and habit forming is a coach’s jam. Together we’ll create your writing and wellness vision and set “SMART” goals to reach it. I’ll be here guiding and supporting you every step of the way.

What’s included:

  • Initial vision-creation session: Writing and wellness can feed into each other in positive ways. What do you want your road to publication to look and feel like? I’ll help you craft a vision that will drive you and motivate you to reach your wellness and writing goals.

  • SMART goal-setting session: Pave the road to your vision with bite-sized steps.

  • Four follow-up sessions chuck full of support, brainstorming, and accountability to help you stay focused on your wellness and keep that creative spirit burning bright.

Improve your well-being while in the query trenches/out on submission

It’s tough out there! Successful writers say persistence is key, but all that struggle and stress can take a toll on one’s health and well-being. I’ll help you stay on track with your writing goals without neglecting your self-care.

What’s included:

  • Vision session: What do you want your road to publication to look and feel like? I’ll help you craft a vision of this that will drive you and motivate you to reach your goals.

  • Power of Threes Session: You’ll identify three wellness priorities, three writing goals, three challenges, and three support systems that make up your querying and wellness journey.

  • Four follow-up sessions focusing on key wellness topics that I provide or that you suggest. Examples:

    Nurturing the creative spirit

    Stress management and social support

    Fueling the brain and body with nourishing foods

    Movement that refills your cup

Countdown to publication
well-being and sanity-saver

Congratulations! You have a deal! The ink is dry; now the countdown begins. Keep your eye on the finish line and make sure you also feel great when you get there.

What’s included:

Vision session: We’ll determine what you need most to keep your wellness in check as you approach publication day.

Four monthly sessions: Establish “anchor” wellness practices that will keep you feeling good and grounded:

  • Wellness basics: quality sleep, keeping your body strong and mobile, and fueling your brain and body for the marathon that is publishing.

  • Mantras, mindfulness, and mindsets

  • Big-picture thinking

  • Identifying your wellness angels (friends, family, agent, etc.,) and internal strengths that are going to help you cross the finish line.

Two biweekly sessions leading up to publication. Topics will include anything listed above or new needs that come up as the big day approaches.

Daily text messages of support and encouragement during publication week. I’ll also help you prioritize the three key wellness practices you’ll use to feel amazing all week and keep that published writer’s glow going long afterward.
